The role is varied and interesting and you will play a key role in supporting the People Services team in providing a proficient and streamlined service with regard to all aspects of learning and development. You will need to be proactive, driven, a great communicator, with an ability to motivate learners.
Main role responsibilities (Please see Job Description for full details)
- Operate within all TT2’s policies and procedures, and display the company values.
- Work with the relevant departments to design and develop training programs enabling consistency across all departments.
- Mapping out training plans and schedules, for both internal and external training, to ensure all staff skills and competencies are up to date.
- Ensure that all regulatory training is scheduled and in date.
- Ensure all training and competency records are accurately recorded and training appointments are communicated effectively.
- Collaborate with department managers to complete training needs analysis to ensure skill sets are current and fulfil the business needs, which in turn will provide safe and effective service levels.
- Provide guidance to the management team on all training-related topics.

You will be passionate about delivering a great service to all our key stakeholders. You will be able to demonstrate your ability to confidently deliver training effectively at all organisational levels, from operations to leadership. You will able to deliver practical, hands-on training to operational staff, ensuring they have the skills to perform their jobs effectively.
We are particularly keen to receive applications from candidates with experience in delivering multi-agency training to Tier 1 and Tier 2 Responders, as well as writing/delivering multi-agency practical and Table Top exercises, and have knowledge and experience of the JESIP Principles, Joint Decision Model, and METHANE. Previous experience as a Bronze Commander is desirable.
Essential requirements:
- Achieved or working towards a recognised training qualification such as level 3 AET, A1 Assessors award, Train the Trainer or equivalent qualification.
- 2 years previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to use a coaching style approach to performance management, developing our people to provide great customer service
- Ability to motivate learners through open communication and goal setting.
- High proficiency with PC systems including excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages specifically Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
Location and working hours:
This is a full-time role, working 37 hours per week, based in our Wallsend office.
The office hours are Monday to Thursday 08.30 – 16.30 including 30-minute unpaid lunch break and Friday 08.30 – 16.00 including 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
