A toll is due each time you travel through. If you travel north and south, a toll is due for two passages. A passage covers one direction of travel only.
From Thursday 1st May 2025 the Tyne Tunnel toll will change to £2.50 for Class 2 vehicles and £5.00 for Class 3 vehicles. Please ensure you have sufficient funds in your account to cover your journeys from this date.
