TT2 staff are running the Great North Run this year, supporting Pathways 4 All.
This is a local parent-led charity which launched in 2010, providing play and leisure services for disabled children and young people, which is based only 5 miles away from the Tyne Tunnels.
The charity first started out with creating a garden area with play and sensory equipment. The next project for the charity was refurbishment work to transform the building. There was a lot of work involved including re-wiring, new heating, roof repairs, new windows and a new entrance, and it brought the old building back to life and provided a vital space for children and young people to use.
Over the Easter holidays, the charity is running several events for children including activities such as an Easter egg hunt. We’ve donated over 400 Easter eggs for all children participating to enjoy.
