Update 14/06/2020 12:03pm: The Pay Later issue has now been resolved. The deadline to pay has been extended for all customers who experienced issues with the Pay Later (customers whose deadline was midnight Friday 12 June and midnight Saturday 13 June). To pay for your crossing please click here.
If you have any issues opening the payment page please delete your browsing history and reload the page.
An issue with a third-party system has meant some of our customers have encountered problems making payment through our Pay Later system.
TT2 would like to reassure all of our customers that they will not be detrimentally impacted by this issue and we are working hard to fix it.
We were made aware of the issue at approximately 8pm on Friday 12 June, and immediately began work to identify the issue.
The problem was identified as an issue with the payment portal, meaning some customers were having difficulty making payment for Pay Later. We are currently talking to our supplier about this issue and hope to have a fix soon. We will communicate with our customers as soon as the issue is fixed.
This issue has not impacted any of our other systems. Traffic at the Tunnels are flowing as normal and pre-pay customers are able to top-up and use their account as normal.
We would like to apologise for the inconvenience and thank our customers for their patience. Pay later is a new system and has helped thousands of customers make their passage through the Tyne Tunnels while maintaining social distancing. We will update you as soon as the issue is resolved.
