Are you eligible for an exemption account?
You qualify for exempt travel through the Tyne Tunnels if you either:
- are a Blue Badge Holder
- are entitled to nil road tax either through the Motability Scheme or if your vehicle is exempt due to disability
If you’re a Blue Badge holder, you can now self-serve and manage your own Vehicle Registration Number changes against your Blue Badge exemption via your online account. Please login to your account to do this.

If you have made a journey on a Blue Badge account and the Blue Badge holder was not present, please fill in the form to make your payment here.

Renewals are required annually. Please visit our renewal form here.
You can only register one vehicle against your exemption. You will have the option to change your registered vehicle once per calendar month. Blue Badge holders can self-serve and manage their own vehicle registration number changes against their exemption via their online account. Please login to your account to do this.
