The National Sustainability Awards celebrate the outstanding achievements of organisations and individuals who have made significant contributions to sustainability in the UK. Being shortlisted in two categories highlights TT2’s innovative approach and dedication to creating a more sustainable future.
TT2 has been recognised for a number of initiatives including the Tyne Pass project, sustainable partnerships with charities and schools and sustainable modifications to everyday business operations, including a new fleet of electric vehicles. These initiatives have ultimately reduced carbon footprint, improved energy efficiency and displayed strong efforts of community engagement, demonstrating TT2’s comprehensive approach to sustainability.
The winners of the National Sustainability Awards 2024 will be announced in October. TT2 looks forward to celebrating the achievements of all the finalists who are driving sustainability forward in the UK.
TT2 is the operator of the Tyne Tunnels, managing and maintaining the running of two vehicular tunnels under the Tyne, which provide a convenient route for around 65,000 vehicles per day.
